Both my wife and I wear our black PVC macs, when the weather is appropriate, in our local shops and roundabout and regularly receive compliments as to our choice of practical rainwear.

I always wear a proper mac when it rains..........either my hooded black or red rubberlined mac or my SBR mac and sou'wester and of course, matching wellies.!!
It is the only way to keep dry in the rain and I enjoy the many approving comments I receive when appropriately dressed.

A proper rainwear lady the Jenni!

I've never hesitated to wear a plastic rain parka or anorak when it's peppering rain. Hood up, too. Maybe a little less self conscious when it's imprinted with a football team or something like that. When I go to football games and tailgates I have a robust clear pvc poncho that works well.

I think I will start wearing my raincoats when it rains. I even have a clear pvc umbrella. Not sure how far down the road I'd get before wetting myself so to speak.

I'm always in one if mine.and I go to work wearing one if it's not sunny summer.
I'm in work now cleaning outside so I have my Peter storm and leggings on as it's a bit damp here in Exeter today.

Re: Dare you use rain gear.
I wear mine daily, either a peter storm or similar. Great as just a windproof as well as when raining. A colleagues wifey has on more than a few times hugged me or rubbed my arm a d couldn’t keep her eyes off my cagoule when normally she isnt so touchy feely, i am pretty sure she likes them as the last two times she kept touching my peter storm navy blue cagoule as we chatted. Haven’t asked her if she likes them, don’t want her to feel uncomfortable, I’d rather she just enjoys seeing them. She is a lovely lady.
Lets get swishy!
