They were extremely popular back then. Especially with sports teams. I love paging through eBay looking for old vintage jackets like this. If I didn’t care about them fitting me I’d probably have 2 warehouses full by now.

I have definitely noticed the difference through the years. Most of the nylon that I’ve come to prefer over the years is a taffeta, which comes in a variety of thicknesses. Then there is the denier nylon which is used mostly for heavier coats. Similar to what police wear. Between the two types ...
