Cheering in ponchos

Post by plasphil »

I've always been into cheerleaders and often search for images of them performing in the rain and I struck it lucky with the Penrith Panthers 'Pantherettes' from the Australian Rugby League. A nice shot of some of the girls in clinging wet ponchos, they look fantastic in black PVC without the ponchos anyway!

Phil.

Shame they're those cheap, paper-thin (and quite frankly, awful) ponchos made from the same plastic used in disposable shopping bags and decorator's dust sheets (polythene), and not luxuriously soft and smooth PVC- what all plastic rainwear should be made of! :D

I Phil, you almost had me heading across the Pennines to become the Panthers greatest fan until I noticed the Australia part :D

A few years ago I found some great images of cheerleaders in ponchos, I think they were from the Kansas City Chiefs, I'll try and find these images and share them

I think what you meant to say is 'Thank you Phil for the time and effort you've put in searching and posting these images' at least I hope that's the case

Ah yes, I am not particularly familiar with cheerleading, but back in 2009 when social networking was quite new, Webshots used to have lots of pictures of cheerleader girls wearing clear raincoats. They were frosted raincoats though, so not quite my taste. They're long since gone, but anyone curious can find some over on the pictures thread on Sexy Plastenky.

In the meantime, I think this is a good opportunity to point to a cheerleading thread from last year (a fine find by Phil) with a rather exquisite squadron of girls, all wearing shiny plastic raincoats. Half time entertainment indeed!
