”Barn finds”

Post by Gerlid »

We have continued cleaning out our small ”out houses ” we have beside our summer house. Most used for garden furniture and gardening tools etc.

And then, there they were! My old Helly Hansen from the time we had our sailing boat.
A bright yellow color and I haven’t seen them for decades, jacket and pants.
Made of pretty thick PVC directly on a polyamid inside. So soft inside and so waterproof outside, feels really nice to put on. And they make a lovely sound when walking in them.

Anyone else who have made a nice ”Barn find”?

Wife went into town so I have had time to test my old Helly Hansen in the shower. After all those years still 100 % waterproof and so soft to wear on bare skin. The nylon inside is soft as silk and the outside pvc still soft after all time passed. Doesn’t it change at all when it’s getting old?

Didn’t remember that it was so swischy and the sound from the hood when I was in the shower was quite exciting.
Just wonder if I get a chance to go down to the sea for a swim in it, should be really nice.

Anyone else here who likes Helly Hansen from the 80’s?
