Rainwear and bicycle

Post by Gerlid »

This is both topic and off topic so I write it here.

Visited an old friend from the time when we attended the university. He was the photo interrested and always brought his camera when our little group of boys and girls met. We looked at old photos and it was fun, we looked like remains from the dark ages. Old and simple cloathes, students were rather poor.

One picture showed me and my girlfriend at the time. She had her thin, shiny blue nylon jacket on most of the time and when risk for rain, her pants to. This photo was taken during a bicycle trip on a cloudy day. I had my red nylon cagoule on and she had her rainwear on, both jacket and pants.

I remember when cykling with her dressed like that, swischy all the time😊 and I loved to see her move in her rainwear. But another thing caught my attention when looking at the picture.

I had a kind of racingbike and she had an old fashion ladies bike. I saw something I have not been thinking of for years. The front, the tiny part, of her saddle poited rather much uppwards. If I have had mine like that, it would have crushed my nuts for shure. But she gladly used her bike like that, swischy in her rainwear.

Can’t stop wondering what it made to her and if she had her saddle like that on purpose. We never talked about it. Could it really be comfortable to sit like that? Did it give her a nice massage in her nylon rainwear?

What do you think? Any experience of bike riding like that?
