I work for a charity and my job includes driving around southern England to visit our shops now and again. Today I was in Salisbury and saw quite a lot of lovely rainwear. Then when in our shop a woman came in and stood next to me wearing a long rubbery mack. It was lovely and had writing down the arm on big white stripes but I couldn’t work out what it said. It also had stripes on the body and a belt. I smiled and said hello but she ignored me. Then afterwards when driving back to the office I saw a woman in a 3/4 length silver plastic jacket which was just fabulous. Shortly afterwards I spotted a Mini going the opposite way with registration S1 PVC.
Oh yes I was supposed to be working I almost forgot!

Re: Another Number Plate
It's good when you can enjoy work !
Re: Another Number Plate
S1 PVC doesn't exist according to the DVLA...
Re: Another Number Plate
How about 51 PVC
Broad minded enough to acknowledge we all enjoy different things:)

I have often walked around Salisbury and not seen a hint of Rubber or Pvc macks...I must pick better days to go there !Cherie wrote: August 18th, 2023, 4:20 pm I work for a charity and my job includes driving around southern England to visit our shops now and again. Shiny Pvc macs are my favourite to see out and about , and I agree with Cherie that they are dwindling fast,as the more modern fabrics take over.
Re: Another Number Plate
I don’t go there often, but agree that usually it is very dry as far as rainwear sightings are concernedshinymacs wrote: August 22nd, 2023, 10:12 am I have often walked around Salisbury and not seen a hint of Rubber or Pvc macks...I must pick better days to go there !![]()

Re: Another Number Plate
I was 90% sure it was S1 PVC but now you make me doubt myself. The view was fleeting as it drove by so maybe I was mistaken, but I am 100% sure it was one letter followed by 1 PVC.

I always see some in exeter sainsburys some nice long and shiny and some short not so shiny. But I'm nearly always in mine .xCherie wrote: August 23rd, 2023, 4:33 pmI don’t go there often, but agree that usually it is very dry as far as rainwear sightings are concernedshinymacs wrote: August 22nd, 2023, 10:12 am I have often walked around Salisbury and not seen a hint of Rubber or Pvc macks...I must pick better days to go there !![]()
