Night adventure in green Helly Hansen 'Nusfjord' suit!

The latest wonderful photos from Phee Jameson reminded me of the adventure I had last week in my green Helly Hansen 'Nusfjord' jacket and recently acquired bib & braces, which were teamed with Le Chameau 'Delta' rubber waders, Marigold Emperor ME107 rubber gauntlets and GP-5 gasmask!

It was a beautiful night with totally clear skies and wonderful full moon, putting me into a romantic mood...

Yes, this is around the amusingly named 'Canvey Heights' park - it's high because it's an old refuse dump! It's actually now a nice place, during the day and at night.

It's not very big but gives good views of the Thames estuary and on a wet and windy day it's a fine spot for testing new rainwear. It's also adjacent to a large salt marsh if you like muddy wellies fun ;)

Two Tree Island is directly opposite - I should investigate if it's possible to splodge across to it at low tide; waders rather than wellington boots might be required, though.

You would be very brave to try and wade across to Two tree!!
Can you get down to the river from there then?

Yes I think that even at low tide the current in Hadleigh Ray might be too strong for it to be a sensible adventure.

Canvey Heights is next to Smallgains Creek (often named Oyster Creek on maps) and you can follow the sea wall around to bring you next to the Thames. If you want a longer walk, continuing along the sea wall will eventually take you to the Canvey seafront area, which I know you're familiar with from your many rainwear photoshoots there :) How come I've not encountered you yet :?: :)

If you zoom in on satellite view you can just make out the tables & benches I'm sat at in the photos.

Yes I have already looked on google earth!
Maybe because it is not very often that we are down there!
