It was a beautiful night with totally clear skies and wonderful full moon, putting me into a romantic mood...

Yes, this is around the amusingly named 'Canvey Heights' park - it's high because it's an old refuse dump! It's actually now a nice place, during the day and at night.

It's not very big but gives good views of the Thames estuary and on a wet and windy day it's a fine spot for testing new rainwear. It's also adjacent to a large salt marsh if you like muddy wellies funspitfire617 wrote: May 20th, 2020, 2:12 pm Looks interesting!
Now on the list for photos and videos!
You would be very brave to try and wade across to Two tree!!Saltmarsh_Drifter wrote: May 20th, 2020, 4:33 pmIt's not very big but gives good views of the Thames estuary and on a wet and windy day it's a fine spot for testing new rainwear. Two Tree Island is directly opposite - I should investigate if it's possible to splodge across to it at low tide; waders rather than wellington boots might be required, though.
Yes I think that even at low tide the current in Hadleigh Ray might be too strong for it to be a sensible adventure.spitfire617 wrote: May 20th, 2020, 4:41 pm You would be very brave to try and wade across to Two tree!!
Can you get down to the river from there then?
