Heavy showers

Post by antcagoule »

There are some incredibly heavy showers around today. And it’s windy too. A perfect rainwear day! I have been out in the pouring rain today in my Mountain Warehouse blue pack away anorak and green Peter Storm trousers over my wellies . The material got soaked, the rain hitting the material hard, but still very waterproof..

I was completely caught out yesterday, I stepped off a train in Hull to go visit family and walked straight into a torrential downpour with thunder and lightening the works, and where was all my rainwear? 300 miles away at home!, by the time I'd walked to my final destination you'd think I'd been swimming in the Humber!

Hi Rainwear lovers. I thought this may be closer to people’s hearts than it clearly is. Maybe I missed something?

Yesterday I did some pressure washing in my blue Regatta over trousers and my Decathlon overhead cagoule. It was a very nice experience!

I also enjoy being out in the pouring rain, but at the moment it is dry for a few days, at least until Friday when I will (hopefully) be out in it.

I find that when I don't have rainwear, it rains, and when I bring it with me, it does not rain.

The weather forecast was right, there was some heavy rain, I had to make a journey to Barnstaple, Devon. I left my van at Instow and rode the last few miles on my pushbike to save a bit of money, but also it gave me a good excuse to get out in the rain. It didn't feel cold at all and I enjoyed a good drenching.
