Got to wonder how the parishioner “found” the website! I’m sure the vicar would have thought the same.

Cautionary tale on being almost found out: A while ago I had a friend to stay who asked if she could use my iPad to check her social media as her phone screen was small. I always use DuckDuckGo as my browser and it doesn’t save any history or cookies and deletes everything on exit with a flaming animation to make the point. She logged in to Facebook using Chrome which I don’t use. Later on she commented on how for no reason, Facebook was showing her posts of girls in PVC and latex outfits. I am pretty sure it’s my login to Instagram on DuckDuckGo that the content comes from, so somehow Meta has accessed data and made a connection to her Facebook login totally unrelated to me. Luckily she brushed the incident off as just something Facebook did from time to time. I wonder if it was just whilst using my iPad or if it persisted on her phone after she left, I will never know!

Saw Janet one year at the Wild & Wolly motorcycle scramble before I knew who she was. She was dressed head to toe in PVC and was standing where she got totally splattered in mud from every bike that went by - looked like she was having a great time!

The report in the Daily Mail was long before they disappeared. Their friends and other church goers mostly rallied round and supported them then. I think the story was fed to the press by someone who had fallen out with them locally.
They seem to have gone completely private about 2 years ago, mainly I think because Nick (her husband and play partner) was seriously ill. The last thing I heard from them was that they were doing a charity walk along one of the pilgrim trails, but nothing since. Such a shame as they were great fun.
