Hi there
Waterproofs4You is still up and running, though as with most websites that are privately run, I fear for how long.
It seems people like social media far more than a traditional website. I have tried to put together a website that mimics facebook, with videos, photos and forums areas, but people come along. and do nothing but read the content - some post but not many.
Speaking as somebody who runs a website, I encourage all those who enjoy visiting such websites to contribute. If we see our hard work paying off and people posting, we keep going. If we see no activity we think - why bother - especially as it costs money to host such websites.
More and more websites are disappearing for good - so if you want to have these websites - its really up to everybody to use them to their fullest.

Re: Waterproofs4You
Hi all
Today I announced on our website that we will be closing it down.
There are a number of reasons for this.
2025 will see some new legislation coming in re adult websites. This means putting into place systems that protect any minors when visiting the website. That's fair enough and something I would be happy to do.
But with the complete lack of activity on the site by most people, what's the point?
I'm a certain age where I think websites are good, but I think that idea is old fashioned now maybe. The younger generation like more immediate and sexy looking websites and seem happy to look to instagram, facebook ticktok etc to find what they need. So the good old fashioned website that costs time and money to put together and upkeep seems like a relic of things gone by.
So with that, I have decided to close the website down. It will happen quite quickly sorry to say. But it seems not enough people care about it to keep it fresh and alive with content.
Look after the websites you visit. One day they will all be gone. Website hosts need your help and input to keep things alive.

Re: Waterproofs4You
That is sad to hear but quite understandable.
If there was a lot of activity then you probably wouldn't mind losing some time and money on it as it helps the community as a whole, but with only a few posts every now and then it is just a waste of money.
Let me give you a big thanks anyways for having invested so much into the site in the first place. If it wasn't for people trying out new things and putting in the work and money we would've missed out on most good things in life.
