Your Favourite Rainwear?
Throughout the vast selection of rainwear out there, there must be a favourite piece that you own and you always wear.
My favourite is my navy blue Regatta stormbreak raincoat and over trousers. I first got these when i was like 17 for 'dog walking' etc (even washing my car!) I just look the sheer coldness when first put on. I really enjoy the pvc backing against your skin.
So i have two questions:
1. Who else likes the regatta stormbreak rainwear?
2. What is your favourite coat etc?

Re: Your Favourite Rainwear?
Sorry, the nylon/pvc combination on the Regatta stuff (and others) doesn't do it for me. I like my rainwear to be the full plastic/pvc/rubber/sbr variety.
As for my favourite coat, I reckon the one I return to most often as my favourite is a shiny red vinyl coat I have from Rimo Mode with a hood and belt. I do find that my selection of a favourite changes from time to time and can be affected by my mood.
Sometimes I see a coat on a website and think I really must have it - I am currently drooling over a red coat on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Red-Dot-Red-P ... 20beda0bc2 but as the sizing is wrong for me I won't be bidding.

Nylon just doesn't float my boat ... sorry
My all-time favourite raincoat would have to be my shiny yellow Rukka; I absolutely love wearing it with my matching yellow rainboots from Target (USA)!!
It's so perfect for a rainy day its not funny.

Hi,
I´m not a nylon fan and I don´t wear raincoats either, haven´t got one to start with... But if I had a sbr coat I would be wearing it all the time
As for favorite gear, I like the "full protection" thing, rubberboots, rainpants (pvc, pref bibpants) and rainjacket + (depending on where I am and so on) blue household rubbergloves. The gear I wear most of the time is old blue pvc rukka waistpants and an old "rubbery" yellow pvc rukka jacket. Love the combination of the pants and the jacket

You can put another tick in the 'no nylon for me either, thanks' column too I'm afraid, although I did have a pvc backed nylon rainsuit way back in the 80's when I was first 'discovering' my fetish, then I got an old fishermans' style yellow rainsuit and that was me hooked on heavy pvc gear from then on.
My favourate gear at the moment has to be chest waders, I just love the feel of them, got 8 pairs now
they;re great with my guy cotten smock and some heavt gauntlets.

Re: Your Favourite Rainwear?
dont mind nylon for practical purposes, e.g. my rainpants and rain jacket for cycling but the real fave is the pakamac tyoe grey slightly seethru plastic raincoats. Sadly the one I have is getting abit past it and they are so hard to come by now at prices I can afford. My jeantex blue raincoat is the one worn most for every day walking out

Hi All
I'm also not in the nylon or mac fold, for me it's good old style PVC / rubber rainwear, smock and bib rainpants at best, at best with a pair of waders..... Brands are Helly Hansen, Ocean, Grundens or Elka.

Re: Your Favourite Rainwear?
for me it has to be the old fashioned shiny cotton backed pvc macs from the 60/70s. also the even older rubber lined cotton mackintoshes. (only ladies/girls macs).
