Welcome WilmaRukka.

Have you looked in the mirror, or has anyone told you that you blush visibly? It is quite common to feel a blush yet nothing is visible to anyone else. As I child I find myself blushing, getting tongue-tied and often having to plain take myself out of a situation if someone was wearing a PVC mac. I think I suspected that everyone knew my dark little secret of love for PVC, though of course they couldn’t.

I am much better now that I am older, but still lack confidence with PVC in public. There are many members on this site that chat about going out in public dressed up, and I have done it, but I find it more stressful than pleasurable although I get the thrill, which is why I know I’d love to be like those people that wear what they like and damn what anyone else thinks. I can now look at women in PVC rainwear and don’t blush or have to look away, but I totally understand where you are coming from.

I too am more able to control my blushing as I've got older. I would blush in any situation where I felt embarrassed, not just in regard to rainwear. What made it worse was people saying to me "you've gone red". It is pigheaded and crass to say this to any young person who is probably lacking in confidence. I can at least wear my rainwear out in public with a fair degree of confidence now that I am older, one of the few good things about getting older is that you care less about what people think about you as long as you are not doing anything really wrong.

It might be a good idea to wear a red raincoat, so the raincoat color is reflecting on your face . it's just the raincoat, no blushing at all. ;) 8-)

My fav of the (more or less) red color range (beside the old shiny Rukkas) is the Stutterheim long Mosebacke in "faded rose", that color really is a no-brainer, there seems to be not a single woman who doesn't look pretty with that color. I own one and seven ladies tried it on (with three of them I did a serious photo shoot). I didn't imagine it will be so great when I bought that coat in nearly mint condition for a reasonable price.

They had it in opal a couple of years ago. There is one for sale in XS in Germany (https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/ ... 8-154-9309). Mine is "S" and it was a lot cheaper. :)

For me I own two long opal Stockholms, green and dark blue. I looove them esp the blue one.

It's really all about confidence... I wear my shiny macs every day in winter and no one gives me any looks - perhaps the fact I'm so 'meh' about it helps.
