I really like the nylon on these coats.
The long mac isn't as shiny as this.

I'm surprised at how waterproof these are. I wore the mac and pants for the first time in a deluge doing outside work and they were great.
I also found a brown version of the same mac made by Stourmac. It had a london underground book in the pocket, so may have been uniform for them? Even though it had been buried for years, after a good wash it's come up like new. None of the stitching or nylon has rotted. They don't make them like they used to.
