There seems to be an odd inconsistency in the way plastic rainwear seems to have run up against the environmental lobby, especially when it comes to men's rainwear but that plastic pants wearers whether buying for need or for pleasure, remain well catered for. I must say though that in these days of almost universal purchase of such items "on-line only" I do miss the slightly shameful pleasure of going into a shop and buying mine in person.

Since we learned this week that as many 14 million of us in the UK have incontinence issues of some kind or another, it seems likely that plastic and rubber pants will be around-for both need and pleasure-for a while yet.

As an 83 year old I can endorse that view! These problems creep up slowly and it was 20 years ago that I first realised that for absences from the house of more than 2 hours, disposable nappies and plastic pants were a wise precaution and took to wearing them. I enjoyed most though wearing just the plastic pants that I found would retain a certain amount of wetting without leaks and enjoyed once again the feel of plastic against my skin I'd had as a boy in short trousers in a plastic pacamac. At around age 70 I met a local man of similar age who had a fetish for plastic pants through being kept in them till at age 9 for late bedwetting and we enjoyed sex together both wearing just our plastic pants until his wife overheard a phone chat between us and put a stop to his visits. He gave me his plastic pants as a memento of these visits that I still have!

I'm 32 year old and I have always liked plastic, when I was little in the 90s I liked the plastic on the outside of diapers and inflatable pool toys and Mylar Foil Balloons and inflatable packing pillows made of plastic. I also own a vintage rain jacket made of clear plastic. I miss the 90s and 00s when plastic was not hated so much by most people. my favorite kind of plastic is Mylar Foil I use Mylar Balloons for pleasure. I like inflatable plastics. I miss the inflatable air pillows from the 00s of the brand FROMM Airpad that was tight inflated, the ones being made nowadays are not the same.

And while people will be less likely to stumble upon someone wearing some PVC or plastic (fetish) gear, they are much more likely to come across it online.

Half the women on tiktok are wearing tight or shiny clothes to imcrease views, and once someone finds their interest they can much easier than ever before order whatever they like online completely anonymously. Add to that the public perception of having a fetish compared to decades ago and the newer generations will do just fine.
Agree,
I think it’s never been more popular with the younger generation.
It’s more mainstream than ever, look at the amount of generation x wearing shiny Pvc (or what ever the compound is.)
I was in the office a few weeks ago and one of the younger women was wearing black Pvc trousers and no one batted an eye lid, apart from me…that wouldn’t have happened even 10 years
ago.
I think on a wider note, woman don’t dress smart these days or less wearing stockings, heels or fitted skirt suits etc it’s more trousers, jumpers etc even in a work environment. I’ve noticed this in office environments in the last 20 years.
I agree. I first started wearing pvc in the 70s when I was a teenager, back then it was mainly macs and waterproof gear. Any actual clothing was extremely niche, expensive and for a country girl hard to come by from specialist outlets. Now you can buy it on the highstreet even from Primark. Online retailers like Shien sell quite a bit and very cheaply, and whilst not common as every day wear a lot of girls do wear it for nights out. Sadly my days of going out wearing pvc are long gone.

That's one of the few consolations of being an old man I find!

Don't have to be old to wear what you like and love to wear. But I understand what you mean x
