These reversible yellow/blue (older ones rubber later ones PVC coating on the outer side, rayon/canvas inner side) raincoats called "Friesennerz" (Frisian mink) were common in Germany in the 70s till about mid 80s, then the more modern Gore-Tex garments took over. I never owned such a coat in my childhood, later as an adult I bought some in the late 90s and early 2000s. Now I don't own any as the Stutterheim raincoats replaced them about 10-12 years ago.
My special interest were the alternative color combos like blue/red, white/blue or dark blue/light blue etc. And such a "mink" in dark blue outer side/red inner side made the fire of passion inside me begin to burn.

It was a farmer aunt's jacket, I often tried it on secretly in their restroom when nobody was near. I wished so much to own such a jacket for myself, but I didn't dare to tell anyone my secret wish. About 10-14 years later when I had my first own apartment it was much easier to get my first Frisian minks
Some kind of change happened in the mid 2000s with Hamburg located brand Derbe with their "Friese" modernized but traditionally pvc coated raincoats, increased later with the appearance of the Stutterheim brand which put the fashion factor to rainfashion. Now there are lots of other brands doing those modernized Frisian mink jackets, mostly not reversible, but with PU coating, some still PVC coated. Wonderful to see. Just 2 hrs ago I saw a young lady walking by wearing an Ilse Jacobsen raincoat, very nice

timeless fashion is the best fashion - classic "rubberized" raincoats are timeless
