On a related note, yesterday was exceptionally stormy for this part of the world, including a good, long deluge of sloppy hail. I was out and about, buttoned up in head to toe rubber.
I stopped for coffee at a drive thru stand, and I discovered that it had apparently changed ownership and was now one of these "bikini espresso" places. There were two women working; one wearing (surprise!) a bikini, but the other wearing a big floppy pair of Lacrosse rubber hip boots, an incredibly tight pair of very thin and faded jeans, and a red plastic rain slicker with a matching hat.
I asked her how she liked the waders, and she replied that they got heavy on her feet after a while, but she liked "the way they slap against my ass when I walk." I told her that made two of us, and she laughed. Then I asked her why the outfit in general, She said it was a good compromise: sexy enough to bring in the tips, but warmer than wearing a bikini to work on a day when it was storming and pouring down hail.

Yes, looking at reports for rain is a common occurrence for me for:
1. Can I wear my polyurethane jacket without drawing too much attention?
2. Can I wear short duck boots for the trip to work or better yet will the rain be so much that I need short wellies?
3. Will I get to see lots of people with tall Hunter boots or Kamik Olivia boots or Ugg Shayne boots? It’s good to look forward to that even though the popularity of tall Hunter is nowhere near what it was in the 2008-2013 years or so.
