Slightly off topic, not exactly rainwear but a lot of black PVC. A comedy moment from a Dr Who film featuring Bernard Cribbins (lucky man!) and a dozen other men dressed in shiny black PVC suits.

What a great clip! I'd love to know if those costumes are still around burried at the back of a BBC wardrobe somewhere!

RD, given that this was an Aaru/Amicus production (with minimal BBC involvement), most doubtful.....I always thought Atomage/John Sutcliffe may have been involved with the production costuming but this was never confirmed.

I remember watching it eagerly waiting to see a woman in one of the outfits, and was very disappointed when none appeared!

Now loads of woman dressed in shiny PVC demands mention of the old Two Ronnies mini-series "The Worm that Turned". This is episode 5 of 8.. the shiny action starts at 2:16, but I believe the ladies made an appearance in all the shows:
