I love your black stripy mac especially knowing you have that lovely black buckle dress on underneath it

I so well remember the Van Allen shops of the 1970’s and early 1980’s, they stopped trading in 1981. In their later years they always had a big rack of the most beautiful pastel shade semi transparent macs, and I spent many long minutes running my hands over their delicious soft plastic and enjoying the lovely aroma from so many coats. They had a great range of colours and sizes. At the same time C&A also always had a great selection. Alas, both long gone now. I recently visited a C&A in Lisbon, but no raincoats on sale at all.

We had a few of those way back when. reat shops - sadly missed.
