Collapse of my theory. Ans she loves rubber-lined satin mackintoshes.
LOL Wife does not know what she is missing!
We use our rain capes too keep camera equiptment covered and dry when we are out and about in foul weather.
Though up too now it has been rain ponchos.
Depends if it is summer or winter.
As yet the Yellow one has not been worn.
What's this about raincapes? One was good enough for Myrna Loy in "The Rains Came." Great, but not long enough to cover her floor length gown.
Love that big, pointy hood, though! Then there was the purple one that girl wore in "The Secretary." Wow! Ill fated Elements was supposed to provide
replicas.
I imagine a lady in a full turnout: long cape, boots (necessary, otherwise futile), long gloves (always for full turnout), hat or hood, both hands out
to hold her purse in front; Ah! My heart! [plop].
The "Seventeen" mag in 1963 did a photo shoot with model Holly Forsman featuring color beige. One pix had her in a blue nylon one: "fold-up rain-
cape unfolded for a showery day's shopping at Fifth Avenue Stores....Dashing shoulder flaps...Capezio's beige boots." She had titian hair in a flip and
always showed a smug little smile. Ah, to be young, rich, and to conquer Time!
