Guys, just a quick update on progress with these "adidas" suits.
Kulsan did some background work and its quite probable that these suits are "raincity" suits which originate in Indonesia. I have made contact with the company and they have not confirmed whether they made the "adidas" suits but they have sent me some samples which some bear a resemblance to the "adidas" suits but with no markings. As you would expect these suits are for the far east market so they do come up quite small and short in the leg department. The material is stiffer than PUL material but has a nice "PVC "aroma.
As always with these companies they want you to order 3000 set's which I'm not prepared to do because of the outlay and because I think it would take about 10 years to sell them all. However I have asked for 600 set's of three colours and maybe in the new year I might try getting them to make some suits to specification.
If I do manage to get the 600 suits you will be the first to know!
Cheers
Gaz

good to know you are on the case
it would only be the sizing issue that causes a lack of sales,

Very pleased to hear there is progress. Yes, it seems these suppliers throw out an MOQ that is unrealistic. I was quoted a price but PVC U LIKE is a logical sourcing entity since in that business. I hope the deal works out and thanks, Gary, for staying with it. From my contact I think the supplier will accommodate bigger sizes but it's in your hands at this point. They are nice suits, I can say that as he sent me one. Especially for the price I was quoted and I assume he's making at least the same offer. Good luck!
The Rain City suit is not the same as the Adidas model. It still would be interesting to find out who did those, However the source Gary and I talked to seemed very willing to do whatever, including a little logo transfer. Not sure Adidas would approve, but trademark rules are more open over in that area of the world!

Re: "Adidas Suits"
think it may be unwise for Gary to start selling suits wth adidas (or anybody elses) logos on, but then I am sure Gary knows that, shame though would love a pvc suit with the adidas logos on

Yeah, don't fancy a lawsuit with adidas or anyone else for that matter! We'll stick with plain designs.merv wrote:think it may be unwise for Gary to start selling suits wth adidas (or anybody elses) logos on, but then I am sure Gary knows that, shame though would love a pvc suit with the adidas logos on
Re: "Adidas Suits"
Plain designs are fine with me. The most important thing is the smoothness and quality of the plastic.
