Reversible Raincoats

Post by pvculike »

Guys

A while back there was a thread about the reversible raincoats that we used to see on the 80's, there was talk about a supplier in Australia which didn't come to anything so I put me neck on the line and invested in 1 tonne of blue /yellow reversible PVC. I received a sample which I made a jacket and trousers out of (see picture) and the bulk material is on its way to my china manufacturer and some to the UK. Hopefully I will be able to offer these two piece suits from March onward, hopefully there will be some interest otherwise I'm gonna have an awful lot of PVC stacked up in my warehouse!

Well I for one am definitely interested in one of those suits! If you click on the picture of this suit on PUL's home page it takes you to the SU36 rainsuit page which is priced at £45, although if some of the production is going to be done in China maybe we'll get the suits a bit cheaper. At 0.40mm, this must be one of the heaviest gauges of PVC I've seen used by PUL and as a fan of heavier materials, I'm hoping this reversible one won't be restricted to just this particular rainsuit, I'd love a pair of bib overalls / dungarees (with a snap fly ;)) or even a one piece suit made out of this heavier material.

Hey Kinky

Yes you can get the two piece suit SU36 http://pvc-u-like.com/proddetail.asp?prod=SU36from PUL at the moment, when we receive the new reversible material after Christmas we will be able to offer the new heavy weight material. Yes its the heaviest material we have used to date.

The china made ones about £45 I would imagine, we will be able to manufacture the same suit in the UK but it will be nearer £60.

cheers

Wow Gaz these look fantastic! You can count On me to order at least one. Only problem is that March is too far away!!!!! January would be better ;) I owned one similar to this a few years ago but this looks so much better than anything I have seen before, I also love the thicker plastics and I can't wait to hear what noise this will make when I'm out and about. Thanks for doing this for us Gaz I'm sure you know that we all appreciate what you do!
