I'm sure we are all familiar with the Singing in the Rain number from the 1929 Hollywood Review, sadly the 1952 movie was not very good and obviously could have been a lot better if it had featured a big rainwear number. I was wondering if these images from 1929 were the earliest rainwear pictures and 'moving pictures', I presume they were some sort of oilskin cloth?
