As far as I can see from IMDb, the episode dated 12th. May 1992 is the only one where she returned for an isolated episode, so I think this must be the one. She left on 13th. February 1992 and returned full time on 4th. June. I think the excuse for writing her out was when she told Pete (whom she had divorced) that there was no chance of a reconciliation. She had around this time had further trouble from Wilmott-Brown, who had been released from prison.
As I say, there was some kind of celebration going on in the Vic when she returned. Was a character leaving the Square? As I recall Kathy did not say much, just greeted a few other characters.
When she returned in June 1992, she never once wore the black mac again but a a thick grey trenchcoat and a white parka with a fur-lined hood.
By the way, I've never noticed this before (although I've seen the clip several times), but in the second Angie clip you put up, Debbie (Shirley Cheriton) is sitting at the bar wearing a grey raincoat with white revers, before setting off for the darts match. When they return she
is wearing a short grey overcoat, clearly not the same.

Yes, Im lead to believe Debbie had a major non plastic raincoat fetish and she swapped her original coat (with white revers) for the short grey overcoat while at the darts match but please DONT quote me as it could be absolute bollox
Not sure I actually follow the logic of that, Ray. I thought Debbie looked quite cute in that raincoat. I've just been watching an omnibus edition of Eastenders I recorded from later in 1992. In it Sharon, Michelle and Rachel all wear rather drab, shapeless raincoats which have no belts and they don't even bother to button. Sharon only drapes hers round her shoulders. By comparison, Debbie's was at least smart-looking.

I'm not a huge fan of soaps and they don't usually pop up much on my viewing schedule. However back in the 90s Bianca (remember she of the Rickeeeyyyy fame) popped up in a number of episodes of Eastenders in a black PVC short jacket over a number of weeks when she was a teenager.
Just remembered that a more recent corrie cast member had a black pvc mac. Candice was often seen wearing a black mac with white trim. I must see if I can find a video.
Going back to 'Eastenders', Cagoulion is right in remembering that Bianca Jackson (as she was then) wore a short shiny black pvc mac in her early days. Her friend, Tiffany Raymond (not yet a Mitchell) wore a short white raincoat. Here's a couple of pics:
