The Glastonbury music festival is noted for wet weather and of course the mud. This year it only rained on day one but thankfully there are still a number of images being posted of girls in raingear. Here are some I have found so far -

Glorious Glastonbury
Re: Glorious Glastonbury
I've not found many pics on flickr yet from Glastonbury. Is that were you found these?
On BBC 3 on Friday night i think, the presenter with Greg James was wearing a yellow shiny pvc mac indoors for the whole program, with shiny purple wellies. I think it may have been one of the ASOS ones with ears, but not suprisingly she didn't put the hood up indoors!!!

Re: Glorious Glastonbury
Glastonbury must be one of the only few places left in the UK where people wear nice sensible rain gear, I think I will have to go there next year.
Great photos. Thanks for posting.

Probably not as old as the Rolling Stones who still seemed lively or Kenny Rogers who was impersonating a corpseRainyDee wrote:Shame about the music tho, or am I just getting old? lol

Nothing hotter than a woman in a raincoat. Well maybe the Texas summer weather. 107 on Sunday.
Re: Glorious Glastonbury
I have been to Glastonbury many many times and it is truly a rainwear fans heaven ! My g/f takes a few different macs every time . I HIGHLY recommend it if you ain't been and to be honest if you can't find some music or a show to watch
In-between being overwhelmed by all the women in rainwear it's not because your too old it's because you don't like any music of any kind !
they have every type of entertainment and music genres you can think of .
Well worth a visit in my opinion .

Definitely agree about festivals and proper rainwear. Also Theme parks are generally good (in the UK at least where people can't rely on the weather).
Music wise I think you've just got to keep on expanding your range. Listening to the same old albums over and over again just turns you into Jeremy Clarkson!!
Obviously there is a load of crap out there like One Direction and a lot of the dancey DJ shit etc, but there are so many bands that keep on reinventing styles gone by from the 60's, 70's & 80's. If you are in the London area, listen to XFM. Really good mix of new and older rock/indie stuff.

Heading to Carfest North first wek end of August - plenty of cars & music.
One 1/2 of me wants glorious weather to enjoy the three days , another part would like a bit of rain for the girls to be able to slip on their macs!

Broad minded enough to acknowledge we all enjoy different things:)

I was heading for the boat to take me and truck to France last Monday. Normally I would head up the A 303 from Cornwall to London, but decided to travel via the M5,M4 to avoid the massive queues on the "A" road. I stopped in Reading Services for my break, and was rewarded with dozens of travelers with muddy rubber boots and other rain gear. The styles and colours being paraded around were mind blowing. It made my trip most pleasant.
