Re: Regular stars
I've been vaguely wondering this myself.
Re: Regular stars
Others will h e to step up to the plate and post content. This site has always run on a few main contributors and loads of anonymous guests watching from the wings.

I class myself in the category of "anonymous guests" sadly, I do try and post or reply when an interesting topic pops up or something I may have some knowledge about. I am guilty of not actually signing in but having a look instead. I am also guilty of not saying anything like "thanks or thanks for the post". I have acknowledged folks when I have sought information or guidance on rainwear matters though.

But at least you sign and do post sometimes, there are hundreds of guest accounts that never show themselves. Now I know that for many people their desires are secret and they don’t feel they can register or maybe don’t know how to do it whilst remaining anonymous to some degree. I’d say hardly any members that do login use their actual names and details which is fully understood.Izzitpvc wrote: Yesterday, 10:11 pm I class myself in the category of "anonymous guests" sadly, I do try and post or reply when an interesting topic pops up or something I may have some knowledge about. Your point about not commenting is interesting. I have written quite a few stories over the years and getting a simple “great story” comment means a lot and if I get enough engagement, spurs me on to write more. So if you have a positive opinion on any content, whether story, picture, link or just discussion, please do post as it helps us to know we are not pi$$ing (posting) in the wind! I have spent hours writing stories and literally had two comments which always make me wonder why I bothered.
For the record I have never used AI to write stories - to me if someone can’t be bothered to write something themselves I can’t be bothered to read it.

Thinking about this again, it is strange that both Rothboy and bethbennet seem to have vanished from here at the same time.Priscilla wrote: Yesterday, 11:19 am Where are our regular sibscribers these days, bethbennet and rhothboy? Re: Regular stars
I understand the frustration of taking time to physically write a story, post it and then effectively "radio silence". These posts have made me have a re-think, previously I have felt that posting "thanks, or great story etc" was not enough and that I needed to reply/comment with something much more interesting. I will try and make more comments on posts in the future, even if they are short and sweet.Cherie wrote: Today, 4:35 amBut at least you sign and do post sometimes, there are hundreds of guest accounts that never show themselves.
