One of them even made a video wearing a long-sleeved vinyl swimsuit on the beach. But I can't find it anymore unfortunately.

Amazona fashions makes a cute vinyl swimsuit. Their items can be made to measure.
They also have a long-sleeved vinyl bodysuit with back zip that could probably also be used as a swimsuit.

I was out shopping with my girlfriend in my early 20’s as she was looking for a new swimsuit. On the rails of ordinary costumes we came across black PVC one-piece suits which totally surprised the both of us. She knew of my liking for shiny PVC so bought one, but was only for bedroom use, as she said there was no way she would be seen in public wearing it. Whenever she wore it in private for me I fantasized that we were on a hot beach and everyone was looking at her the way I did. No idea how it would have lasted in the salty water, but it never seemed to mind diving between the bedsheets!

Decades ago Ann Summers carried a cute vinyl bodysuit with a deep neckline in the back and a front zip down to the navel. It was indeed sold as PVC swimsuit. I wonder how many of these were actually bought with thls use in mind.
Only a few years ago also the "usual suspects" (ASOS, pretty little thing etc) carried some vinyl swimsuits. Some of them were indeed very cute. I also wonder how many of these actually ended up in the water or just in the bed. Maybe quite a lot if these were also just worn together with jeans as party outfit.
I can also remember a Cosmopolitain issue from the eighties with Claudia Schiffer on the cover wearing a very nice shiny vinyl swimsuit (link will not work forever):

While visiting the US at the end of the eighties I have seen some nice matte vinyl swimsuits in stores.
When it comes to the endurance of these items I would say that salt water, or water in general, is not the only enemy. There is also sweat and suncream and mechanical wear due to sand and things like water slides and rough benches etc.
I actually have one from ASOS that is quite sturdy. I boiled it several times in some if my destruction videos. It doesn't look as good as new anymore being stored for a few years after seversl boils, but still reasonably nice. It still looks too good for the shredder. So we will probably use it for a muddy body wrap. Or a female couple I know might want it for a spanking session. Or its inside might be soaked in baby oil for it to be worn as slippery underwear for a whole day on a hot summer day. Or all three of it and probably repeatedly until it finaly fails.
