AI is a great option to produce some new images that are "variations" of existing ones. In my experience the current generation of AI is pretty good in making completely believable images as long as the source material is good and you are able to create the new image with just one prompt. If the base image is bad or you have to do several steps of changes the quality will drop quickly.
You can basically take a great picture and ask the AI to change some colors, the background, the face, etc. and you will have a brand new image which might be more to your liking.
I do not care so much about "real people wearing real rainwear"; I don't know those people personally and they are possibly just as fake as the AI created people. The females put on loads of makeup and often have no liking for the gear they wear, so the connection is mostly made in your head anyways ("oh, she would like wearing this so much, she enjoy jumping in the puddle, guess she will wear this raincoat now everyday if possible").
I really prefer real pics of real people (as well as video clips), but I must admit esp these new short animated Ai clips are impressive.
e.g. this one, the yellow cape could be a 1970s Rukka!
I'm with Bobby on this one, each to their own at the end of the day we are in an ever evolving world the only constant is change. I've used CHATGPT many times to customise my own images add different back grounds etc and it's a good tool used correctly
I also am currently using AI to create rainwear images. I have used Chatgbt, but now find Gemini fatmire accepting; chatgbt refused some mildly 'naughty' such as men wearing bra and panties under translucent macs. Also, Gemini allows me to create graphics from the story narrative and embeds them as I progress. I am hoping to put together a long tale with images for fiction mania in due course, as my characters are gay crossdressers with a fetish for hooded plastic macs.

Agree Chatgpt is becoming more and more limited, will give the above a trial too
