RKD (Rajkumar)

Post by cammacg »

Hi Folks, Has anybody heard anything about RKD? A good friend of mine has been trying to contact them, and they are not answering emails. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now. Any news would help.

Hi Bandllo, I passed your suggestion on to my friend, he sent an email to address you gave me, at around mid-day today, and got an answer almost immediately. So, top marks, and thanks from both of us. Regards, cammacg

Soes anyone here have any of their products and can give a brief description of how their "Slickr" rubber feels? textured/smooth, soft/stiff, does it shine up, thickness, is sizing accurate? I have 2 of their rainsuits in my favourites folder but I'm a bit reluctant to order without this information given the price. TIA

I've always really liked the concept of the gear they produce but the way they present it is simply not enticing enough for me to take the gamble of purchasing some. For as far as I know they are one of the very few sites selling full rubber rainwear at this moment so I hope they will invest in carving out this specific niche and can make it successful.

Things that are holding me back to order:
- the site seems AI produced
- details are missing, for example further information about the materials they sell (I see most items being sold in 4 materials without further explanation; i presume this is about the outer material but what is the lining made of, where is it produce, how is it fused, etc)
- very limited product pictures; no close-ups / details
- the fit on the models in the product pictures is sometimes horrible (waaaaay too big, this doesn't look good)
- example picture is in one color but when you select a different color the picture is not updated
- social media is missing / never updated; how about posting regularly with just products instead of "posters" or get links to people who bought the products and now post about it?
- the company is India-based but the site has nothing about shipping or paying. How will orders be handled, which parcel service does the transport, how are customs charges arranged, how to pay for your items, how long till you receive, etc.

Maybe a wild proposal, but how about teaming up with a content creator and let them judge and review your work?
I see kinky-in-scotland post here above me and know he has an online following and picture-taking skills... If i was building a brand and wanted to sell online, from India, I would contact him and send him something for free with the agreement he will post about it with honest reviews. Its a risk because the review might be negative, but it might kickstart your business. Or ask some other content creator... there are many who have a large social media following, take good pictures, and are "specialized" in rubber/rainwear.

i was surprised to see the site open again especially after the closures. how did their rainwear compare to the classic rubber rainwear such as weatherite brands?
