It must have been difficult to print a pattern onto the PVC/plastic at that time?

Lots of nostalgia here. Imagine a young boy in the 1950's not understanding why such sights should cause his willy to go stiff; just knowing that it was the best feeling ever.

Taffmac hits the nail on the head. There would have been females of all ages wearing macs like these in every street of every town or village once upon a time. And if a young boy got the chance of a cuddle or to sit on a lap once in a while so much the better. Pictures like these make an old man feel very happy or should that be a happy man feel very old.
