That brings back memories. My best friend's mum had one just like that in the mid 80's. It was always hanging up by the back door hallway, as she mainly used it for gardening in. The downstairs toilet was next to the door and opposite the coat hooks. Let's just say that I was a very regular visitor to my friend's house and it often disappeared from the hook for 10 minutes into the toilet.

Thankfully being cotton lined and used for gardening the inside was quite stained already before i started using it.
