I try on a few PVC Raincoats

I just thought I'd try a few on.

Had this custom-made. My only criticism: not quite soft enough. I opted for 54 PHR as it was suggested (by AI) that 400 microns at around 50-54 PHR is a good all-rounder for both inflatables & raincoats. However, AI is not always consistent, as it later suggested that upping the PHR to 70, while keeping to 400 microns, will provide a very supple, very soft PVC that is good for both raincoats & inflatables. So, in my next custom run, I will opt for 70 PHR.

DINP plasticizer was chosen (I do not like the 6P-free rubbish). It is just as well that I have access to GC-MS so that I can analyse a sample to confirm that the plasticizer is indeed DINP (as per my desired specifications), and to reassure myself that I have not been ripped off/conned with the 6P-free rubbish.

Maybe the hood is a little too big. I might reduce it in my next custom project.

No anti-block additives/lubricants, such as silica or ecruamde, were added to the PVC resin, as I wanted to maximise the noise (rustle, crackle, squeak), which is caused by blocking. Increasing the PHR to 70 will maximise blocking even more.

Yes, I know it is a bit 'girly' or feminine, but I like the PVC material (from a sensory and fetish standpoint).

One of my favourites: this glossy glass clear PVC is very noisy (because of strong blocking/surface 'cling' or 'stick-slip'), quite soft & supple, and it has a good thickness to it. Was made in the early 2000s, so before the widespread use of the 6P-free PVC rubbish.

One of my favourites, as it takes me back to my 1980s childhood. These used to be common, and they came in various glass clear colours. I like the extra-chunky drawstring rope, and this is how I remember them in the 1980s.

Makes a nice noise, due to blocking (stick-slip/surface 'cling') properties and use of phthalate-type plasticizer.

Similar to the 1970s/1980s originals, except the drawstring cord is not chunky and rope-like as per the originals. But still good.
