anyone else noticed there is endless amount of content of hunter boots on instagram?

hunter boots have become super trendy, popular, fashionable, my instagram feed is literally flooded by amazing hunter boots pics every day . i cant go thru it all fast enough.

There was a gorgeous tall woman on our train home from Eastbourne last Saturday in a fairly heavy duty yellow Hunter PU rainjacket. She was with a group of women who had been walking on the South Downs and got caught in some heavy late afternon showers. Some of her friends were in everyday matt black PU raincoats. They kept them on throughout the journey so the lovely schlocking sounds as they moved about kept on coming.

Unfortunately not so many on the streets. Most of them are in closets or on sale as used items. In my view there was a fashion boom years ago, where the streets were flooded with them. That was a wild experience!

interesting point. i think you are right. same with stutterheim raincoats, some years ago , a lot of them turned up in instagram posts, but then where forgoten in wardrobes or later saled as used items. such a pity.

I also remember a few years ago in Stockholm during the month of July, lots of people wearing Stutterheim raincoats.

i am happy to own many stutterheim raincoats

It was a great sight, I did a few visits to Stutterheim and Farmerrain over the years. Since 2019, most gear has been purchased online. Due to health issues, I have not been able to travel.

I really wish hunters would have a big boom and revival in the regular wardrobe of everyone. It was amazing during that 6-10 year period when you went out in the rain it was practically guaranteed to find a lady wearing a pair.

Lots of hunter wellies here in the Cotswolds, plenty of stutterheim and look alike pvc rain macs here too at the moment!

i wear hunter boots because those are the easiest rain boots to find in my size and i also like the tall length. the rubber though does come off as too stiff unless going for the matte tour boots but even then the texture is not as smooth as the common shiny rain boots.
