i have a lot of the different stutterheim long opal mosebacke raincoats.
what i noticed it they all feel different.

the black ones feel lighter and get wrinkly a lot more
the light sand ones feel heavy and does not wrinkle as much
the kahki green is kinda like the light sand ones but maybe a little less heavy.
i have a very rare burgundy prototype that feels like the black ones

has anyone else noticed these differances? is it becouswe the amount of thickness of the shiny material?

First, there are three general types of material:

a) the first opal ones with the heaviest and thickest material, weight over 500 g/m² I guess
b) the "midweight" material mostly used in the contemporary opals, 380 g/m² or something in that range
c) the "lightweight" material, I think it was described as 280 g/m². Used e.g. in the long Nolby coats and the Concert poncho (but I have a green one which is a little bit uncommon, it has the male-typical right buttoning scheme (guess it's a factory mistake) and it is made of the midweight material, I checked it on a scale and you can feet it too).

Differences within one of these three groups wasn't something I did care much about.
