Lying in bed musing over an idea to run the Rainwear Central (RC) awards. Ideally a glitzy affair in a top London prestigious venue characterised by a sea of lovely shiny raincoats. But alas, our members are too timid and too geographically spread - but a lovely thought nonetheless. So I think we need to conduct annual online awards. Here are my suggested categories…

Member categories:

1.1[*]Best member. No not a reference to a man’s private parts! Award for the member who has contributed most to the RC community.
1.2[*]Best newcomer. Member who has joined in the last year and contributed most to the site.
1.3[*]Best story writer. Writer with the most number of well-written rainwear stories.
1.4[*]Best story.

Rainwear categories

2.1[*]Best rainwear manufacturer.
2.2[*]Best garment.
2.3[*]Best material.

Dry day awards

3.1[*]Worst garment of the year.
3.2[*]Most embarrassing rainwear situation.

I’ve numbered each category so people can just write nominations against the section numbers they want to vote for. After a while I’ll tally up results and post in a virtual shiny PVC ceremony the likes never seen before! How about that. Pleas feel free to suggest other categories. Oh you can’t vote for yourself or your own content.

My nomination for the 2.1 category has got to be PVC-U-Like. Best material, semi transparent pvc.
