'Coronation Street' (March 2002) - Rita still wearing the shiny gold/black metallic PU/PVC mac as late as this in 3 episodes (4 scenes). I thought she stopped wearing it in late 2000 but recently came across these 3 episodes from a later date. Seem to remember she started wearing the mac in the autumn of 1989 so this is 13 years later!

Yes indeed, Rita, Bet and Audrey were all favourites of mine at that time. I have a few new ones of Rita (from March and April 2003 this time!) to put up - will add them to this post soon....

I am looking out for a mac like that on sites across the web I'm useing a site everyone will know where you buy things from people who put their heart into the stuff they sell theres a whole range of macs on it I reckon it will cost me 4 a mac like the one Rita wore

Nice to see you back Beth.
Happy New Year! Rita starting wearing the mac in 1989 (36 years ago!) so you may find it somewhat difficult trying to get hold of one. Best of luck though. Do you know who the manufacturer was? Let us know if you manage to find one.
