…when we get to tell each other what we hope Santa brings us for Christmas. What rainwear is on your list, and is it just a fantasy, or any chance you will actually receive it? I’m not at a point in my new relationship where I have shared my rainwear desires, so no chance of getting something from her.

You have to take it easy with your "new relationship" so as not to rush it.
But if he or she has feelings for you, he or she will accept you as you are.
In a relationship, the most important thing is trust.
As for the list, I didn't ask anything about our favorite raincoats, I keep it for intimacy with my wife.
I'm not saying that I'm not going to treat myself by ordering a beautiful pvc garment!
