Dare you use pvc rainwear out in public, or are you cowards?

Post by SOU'WESTER_lovers »

I'm not a coward.

Sorry if the english is not the best. I have used google translate.

I use tall dark blue Hunter wellies.

Long dark blue pvc raincoat without hood.
The raincoat goes almost all the way down to the feet.
Double buttoning down to the knees and buttoning all way down.

Yellow lined pvc southwest CAP on my head.

Light blue lined pvc rain mittens. (Gloves)

I havet used the rainclothes today and on friday last week.

Well I walk the dog every evening with my Farmerain bid pants, Viking boots, and if it really rains, with my pros jacket. Some people ask questions or make snippy remarks about the pants, but my comment is, I like it when I can just clean them with a wet sponge when the Dog jumps on me :D .

Yes I do. I wear a black opal stutterheim raincoat when the weather calls for it. Sometimes I get looks but it's also practical as compared to what other people wear

I have always worn nylon cagoules and overtrousers out if it is rainy, but it is only in the last 4 years or so that I have dared to wear a long shiny mac out in public. I find it liberating to leave most of my fears about wearing a PVC mac behind. I still feel a bit self conscious wearing it in places where I bump into people who I know, but I wore one of my macs to church a while back, it did bring a couple of friendly comments such as ^expecting rain?*, but so far no one has said anything derogatory.
