'Please Sir' (British sitcom - 1968-72). Five episodes with Penny Spencer (playing Sharon) wearing a shiny black PVC mac. Penny was born in Uxbridge, Middlesex on 1 January 1948 and made her screen debut in 'Georgy Girl' at the age of 18. She first appeared in 'Please Sir' in 1968 at the age of 20. Wikipedia: “Although the series is based around a class of 16 year old pupils, all of the actors in these roles were in fact in their early 20s and looked distinctly too old for the setting”.

Cheers for that Nerzman. I know where you are coming from as regards the ads on Daily Motion - a total pain in the a***! I'm well aware that the clips are on You Tube but I find the quality of the clips to be much better on Daily Motion (especially if you want to download them!). That's the reason I put their links up and not the YT ones. It's all a case of "ya takes ya choice" 'un all that....

Yeah, it's a really nice mac. Quite a lot of women wore macs like that as fashion items back then - didn't matter if it was raining or not.
