YES - found it at long last! I've been looking for this film for ages - finally came across a link to it yesterday evening.
'Cargo To Cape Town' (1950). Ellen Drew wearing a semi-transparent plastic mac and then later in the film she is seen in a shiny rubber mac (most probably a yellow one). Quite an unusual occurence - not often you see an actress wearing two different macs in the one film.
Timings: (1) 17'-54" to 18'-14", (2) 18'-40" to 21'-28", (3) 24'-59" to 25'-44", (4) 29'-15" to 32'-04", (5) 37'-02" to 37'-26". Enjoy!

I find this plastic Mac fascinating in a two pointed triangles that come away from the collage, clearly shown in the latest still.. I can only assume that these were designed to tie under the chin when the hood was up but it would be lovely to see them being used. Some of these old Macs of the 30’s and 40’s had fascinating designs and clearly used and worn by all stratas of society. There is a great film starring the great Ginger Rogers in which she wears one to her office as the owner or manager. Such a pity that he stays they are not worn as a practical and fashionable item as in the past. Hey ho.

Yes, the plastic mac really is a fascinating design - a lovely mac! I remember that Ginger Rogers film that you mention - 'We're Not Married' if not mistaken.Priscilla wrote: ↑May 28th, 2022, 10:14 pm I find this plastic Mac fascinating in a two pointed triangles that come away from the collage, clearly shown in the latest still.. I'm pretty sure I have seen a pic or pics of the ties (pointed triangles) being used on such a mac - will have to have a look on Google, Bing Images, Yandex, Pinterest etc, etc to see what I can find....Priscilla wrote: ↑May 28th, 2022, 10:14 pm I find this plastic Mac fascinating in a two pointed triangles that come away from the collage, clearly shown in the latest still.. Hi Raincoatgirl, I don't think I can send the movie - I will try and see if I can attach my MP4 file of the film to an e-mail. You should be able to download it. If the link I have put up (SMSkull) doesn't work you can go on Google and type in ok.ru online downloader - this will bring up a number of download programmes for you to try.raincoatgirl23 wrote: ↑May 31st, 2022, 3:25 ami have problem for download the moviesrothbhoy wrote: ↑May 28th, 2022, 9:35 am YES - found it at long last!
