Masks/Hoods and Rainwear?

Post by milrubber »

I love wearing a rubber mask with a shiny pvc or rubber mac.
With garments that have no attached hood it is quite practical in the rain.

Problem is i have that done only far away in the woods yet, as I'm afraid it could scare people.

Do any of you wear masks to your rainwear? Maybe even in Public?
What are your experíences, did you ever get in trouble for wearing a rubber hood?

Best regards

not my thing. I would imagine it would be a good way to draw attention to yourself, and I really would not enter a shop dressed like that, may give entirely the wrong impression.

Common sense should prevail with such things

I am sure in the United Kingdom you may get arrested to.
As the previous comment said not my thing either but each to their own.
I personally can not see the point in wearing a mask.

Yes, that would be clearly no good idea.

But what about just walking around or riding a bike?

I just love that cocooned feeling and i think it looks good, if admittedly strange.

Agin not a good idea as it would stop you seeing where you were going and then if on a bike you could not see from side to side.
Again the police would stop you and explainations are difficult.

One good compromise is open face latex rubber hoods which are all but invisible beneath the hood; they feel just great and nobody can see them.

I've gone out like this dozens of times without any problems; and it is a complete blast being unable to undo the hood (or rainwear) lest they see what i'm wearing underneath!

Yes that would be one solution
But I think he meant a full mask?
Then where we are it would be instant trouble!

Yeah I never understood the whole gas mask thing, even in conjunction with rubber rainwear. But to each his/her own. I don't cast aspersions on those who get off on that sort of thing, seeing as there are so many people who find our own shared fixation with rainwear just as odd.
