I was really pleased to find this clip from a German TV programme (mid-1970s). I absolutely love the shiny orange PVC mac that one of the ladies is wearing. The added bonus with the clip is that there are two other ladies wearing PVC macs - one is a blue and yellow floral one, the other a green and white one. Hi! I'm not sure where I found this clip to be honest - possibly from a French or a Danish forum. It was definitely not from You Tube as I had to upload it to You Tube myself. As it's only a clip I'm not sure if the ladies wore their PVC macs throughout the programme - obviously! You may be able to find the full episode (I think it was from 1974) by doing a search on the Internet. When searching on the internet for rainwear content from German TV I always search with the three words 'Deutsches Fernsehen Regenmantel' (German Television Raincoat). Good luck!

Thankyou but it would help very much if you told me name of the programme so I could look thru each one to find the full version of the one with PVC macs

Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the programme but I believe it was on the ZDF channel. This kind of show is quite common on German TV and such shows go under the name of 'Schlager'. The only way you could search is by using the words ZDF/Schlager/1974/1970s/Deutsches Fernsehen - you may get lucky. You never know you might find something even more interesting!

Thanks for that dident find this clip in full the info sent me to old music shows I dont think this clip is music related it's such a shame I'll never watch the full episode of this show to see if the macs r in it from start to finish

I think that scene would have been all there was during the programme. The format for these 'Schlager' shows is that you have a small audience of 50/100 people and you get a series of artistes/singers on - usually about 10 acts in an hour-long programme. I honestly think that mac scene would have been the only appearance they made during the programme.

I'd say your chances are very, very slim on that one Tim. When I found the clip I'm pretty sure it said that the clip was from a Schlager show in 1974 - 46 years ago! Will be very few, if any, macs like that around these days.

I wish they would bring back the vibrant colours, shiny orange, lime green, hot pink and pale pink, they are such a ray of sunshine in amongst all the doom and gloom at the minute
