Another crazily expensive raincoat

I always wonder when I see adverts like this, who are the over rich fools that buy such a Mac.

This has no obvious special features. I just hope that they are not buying them from PUL, and just marking them up by x thousand percent

There is another from Saks in a PVC-ish material and it is $995,

Crikey, I'd never pay that. And it's not even fabricated from actual PVC, but an arguably inferior plastic, TPU. It is hardly different from those clear Chinese rainjackets on Ebay.

Sometimes you can create demand by asking exhorbitant prices.
If its that expensive, it must be good (some people think).

Why does anyone care?
If people like it and can afford it then its their business whether they buy it or not
If you dont like it or cant afford it then no one is forcing anyone to buy it
