Anyone in the chat room ?

don't even bother clicking it any more, as I suspected when it was first suggested there just are not enough members to have people online at the same time to make use of it

Sadly, it seems the chat room was an idea that never took off, it was me who suggested it to Paul and found the module for him to add to the website, it may be time to remove it now and save some space and bandwidth on the server.

Shame ! Have popped in a few times for dome HOOOOT Chat but never found any body else there

I was thinking of removing it some time back. If there is no objections then I'll do so.

It's one of the things I need to work around each time I upgrade the phpBB instance on the site since it was a bit of hack job getting that chat thing to work.

you may as well Paul. The idea was a good one in theory but you need alot of members and a number to be online at the same time for it to actually work in practice. This has never really been the case as far as I can see.

Others may not agree with me though

It might work if we specify a certain day/time for members to congregate in the chat room.

i didn't know there was a chatroom here. Otherwise Iwould pop in at pre-arranged timed for a natter.

I am no user of the Chat room.
But I could imagine that there would be two times a day that the Chat Room would be open .
Par example in the evening hours in Western Europe and G.B and 12 hours later in Asia and Australia.
Something like 18-20 GMT and 6-8 GMT.
But perhaps there are more American users than Asian/Australian ,so the 6-8 GMT can be changed.
