Hi Dave

Yes, this camera (Leica D-lux) looks like a normal tourist point and shoot camera but in fact has some amazing features. Its easy to use even for me! and gives really good quality pictures but costs $1000! here is a review http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/ ... 109_review

Maybe a Christmas present? ;)

cheers

Awwww thanks mate but are you sure you can afford to buy us ALL such a nice pressie

Seriously, it looks like a nice piece of kit and certainly produces great images - in the right hands

I've been looking at the new Fuji X range - not sure why as I dont shoot much these days - I've seen some really nice results from them and they are lovely and compact, I'm getting fed up of carrying a brick around with me

You guys, first you want cheap PVC raincoats and now you want Leica Cameras, what am I going to do with you all?

Ray, before I bought the Leica I was looking at the Fuji film XT1 which is a brilliant camera and now "cheaper" because the XT2 has been launched but opted for the Leica D-lux in the end. To be honest carrying the Nikon D300 is like carrying a breeze block compared to the Leica but they both produce good shots.

About time you got back out into that bleak North East winterland and give us some new shots to salivate over!

Cheers
Gaz
