My wife had an ankle length black SBR rain cape she wore over her SBR Trench Mackintosh. I thought it was to drive me crazy until she told me it's popular (or was) in the UK.

What does the "58" mean on the size? Is this the length across? Is this the length around the poncho? How long is this size from the shoulder to the hem?

Thank you. I found the chart and it was a great help. I am thinking the number is less about length and just a way to express general sizing.
