The spammers are getting through more easily with this new forum layout. I'll speak to Paul about it when he's online

BTW, thanks for the heads up, Ray - much appreciated.

Are new members not on moderation until they've proved themselves to be trustworthy or has something broken in the software?

Paul's trialling a new method of letting people join the RW Forum ... unfortunately, we are looking at reverting to the old system of manually approving applications. It's much easier weeding out bad eggs this way.

Ray, I couldn't agree more. I wouldn't dream of approaching a stranger, whether male or female to feed my "fetish" in any way. I wear my raingear outside to stay dry. And inside when....well, I don't need to spell it out! In fairness I am in a relationship with someone who understands and encourages me to be myself and I suppose that's the reason I feel as I do. I only wish everyone was as lucky as I am, so that seeing someone wearing a raincoat was appreciated just in itself and not just something tawdry to rub one out to!

I also wear my rainwear to stay dry and warm outside in crappy weather...and appreciate people who wear their rainwear for the same reason as me...I've only just got the nerve to wear my raincoat in public, let alone approach people to feed my 'fetish'. I talk to people, but only when they speak to me first, don't have that much nerve to approach strangers!

Well, last weekend I was headed out of town to the local shopping mall... It was about 4 in the afternoon, and as I came upon the "free" remains of a yard sale, I saw a purple raincoat hanging from a sidewalk tree. I put off my mall mission, did an illegal U-turn up the street, and drove by on the opposite side- slowly. Sure enough, it was vinyl!! Another illegal u-turn and I stopped just past the tree. Got out, and bagged my prize! Once at the mall, I tried it on... Could not believe it fit so well! It was a brand of Totes raincoats called Rain Works. Fabulous thick and shiny vinyl! I could not believe someone would just give it away like that! Lucky for me, it did not get sold.

You do have to wonder why someone would give it away- maybe a raincoat enthusiast gave it to his girlfriend, and she wouldn't be caught dead in it? Whatever, it's mine now! But, isn't that just like a fickle public?

Like others here, I would never go up to someone and just start chatting to them about rainwear even though I'm quite open about my kink. When the weather calls for it I have my heavy PVC hi vis jaket and a pair of PVC backed polyester over trousers to keep me warm and dry. There are plenty of open minded people out there though, my next door neighbour who hasn't lived in my block of flats for long came to my door last Friday night and invited me through for a couple of drinks with her and her man (who just happens to be my best mate who knows about my fetish). She was dressed in a fairly ordinary PVC dress so I told her I'd be through in a minute or two, I went to my collection and put on my heavy latex catsuit, thigh waders, rubber hood, gas mask and heavy rubber gloves then went next door and despite being very nervous anout doing that nothing was said. I've also been out in public with my rubber suit on under my rainwear, I was very conscious about it at first but the longer I was out the less I thought about it, I guess it's all down to how comfortable you are with your fetish, me, I just don't care any more, I don't flaunt it but I don't hide it either.
