I rejoined Fetlife in February and didn’t have to provide a face pic at the “join website” stage. I think they prefer people to verify their profile which would require a photo. This however would only be seen by admin and would not appear on your profile. As far as I know verification is not mandatory. There’s plenty on there who haven’t bothered

Had never received a note that they will turn-off my account (or part of access) if I do not verify. For not to loose access (as a member since 13+ years), I just verified my profile with governmental ID card. Looking forward how long it lasts to my account beeing visible as "verified".
