@ilikecoated: It is this one:

I'm also afraid there won't be any nice new vinyl (biker) jackets in the high street shops this season. Before I buy anything, I would like to feel the quality and texture of the material and if it is possible, trying it on first.

I already have a few pairs of DMs I wear for fun, including some shiny pink ones! ;) Vinyl leggings will also look great with my Hunter boots and raincoats ;)

Its nice to see that I'm not the only one still wearing shiny leggings out. This time of the year its a bit on the cold side but if its really cold and windy I usually have thermo leggings under them, a bit bulky but at least I'm not freezing my legs and but off :)
I am so wanting the weather to stay bad so I can wear my rubber leggins but it keeps getting above 50!

No those are not the ones I meant. But they are nice as well and nade from the same material. I have some pairs of these too. I have already ruined a pair of these by wearing them underneath my jeans in hot summer weather for about a month. You can also see me wearing a pair of them in my latest video. They even have the advantage of being better fitting for guys because they have a lower waist than the ones I meant.

I suddenly remembered a nice scene from an eighties movie. What I mean starts at 4'50". Can anyone spot what it is ?

So you pack your clothes for dance - leggings and top, then think, hey a black PVC swimsuit would look good over this! Don't get me wrong I think it is lovely, but not sure why she needed a top under it! Nice find. I the 80's were a time of shiny nylon dance pants ans shorts as well as see-through Macs and jelly jackets - wonderful.

Well it doesn't cover everything that well. I guess they wanted her to wear it to make her stand out. That material is often abused in movies, music vieos and commercials to make someone stand out. Isn't it ?
Maybe that garment was even designed for being abused to increase perspiration. It is worn with a belt in that scene as was often done with aerobics outfits in the eighties.
