Rain in the UK

Post by Cagoulelover »

Any UK based folks been out in today’s rain? I’ve had a lovely morning…. Had my blue regatta pack away pro on as I cycled into work for a couple of hours. I’ve bought a new one and I quite like it…. It seems a little more ‘plasctically’ and crackly as my old ones but also it seems to keep the rain off much better than my old one.
On my way into work, I was passed by a woman on her bike wearing a dark green Peter storm pack away cagoule. Our routes were the same for about a mile and I got to follow her in the rain, her cagoule rustling, creasing and uncreasing as she cycled. She wasn’t wearing a helmet (tut tut) but did have her hood up and tied around her head.

Unfortunately I missed most of it, I overslept, but there is more rain to come on Saturday and for several days after. It's always nice to see women out in the rain, properly dressed for it.

I managed to get out early and found a waterfall that was flowing enough to test my rainwear - I've put a video on my YouTube channel which I will link to shortly. I had a new Charity shop purchase of a Target Dry long Mac to test out, and it got a good soaking!

Hello Rainworshipper.
It's always nice to see women in the rain, well dressed. I agree, but we men also have the right to dress well. I especially like to walk in the rain wearing one of my shiny pvc raincoats, it's a treat for me!

Hello JOPVC, it's a treat for me as well, I just wish we would get some decent rain here.

Most of the rain which was forecast for next week seems less likely to arrive now, the forecast has been revised. If we get much in the way of rain I will be pleasantly surprised.

Good evening Rainwear shipper.
If it rains, even a little, I will be satisfied.
I will seize the opportunity to put on my royal blue raincoat, not transparent, very shiny!
Good night.

To me, I will be out and about not in rainwear, but my PVC-U-like glass clear plastic pants, tucked away in my normal trousers, rain or shine. Shhh, no one will notice. They won't be bothered even if they notice.
